The Light Of God began with a simple conviction: that no one should face hunger, cold, illness or thirst alone, and that ordinary people, working together, can change that.

We are starting close to home, with food, clothing, outreach and support for people experiencing homelessness in London. Our first international campaign aims to raise £5,000 for clean water, delivered through experienced and reputable partners.

Plans, not promises. Dates will be added as they are confirmed.

  1. Now: Begin locally. Food, clothing, homelessness support and outreach across London.
  2. Now: Launch the water campaign. Raise £5,000 for a clean water project with a trusted partner.
  3. Next: Name our water partner. Choose an experienced delivery partner and a location, and publish both before funds are sent.
  4. Next: Register as a charity. Complete registration with the Charity Commission.
  5. Next: Open online giving. Connect secure payments so gifts can be made on this site.
  6. Later: Report back. Publish our first campaign report: what we raised, where it went and what it changed.
  7. Later: Reach further. Grow our volunteers and partners, and expand projects across Africa.

The Light Of God is currently being established and is not yet registered with the Charity Commission.

We cannot yet quote a charity number or claim Gift Aid. When registration is complete, we will say so here.
